We’re in the thick of it now: tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini.  Yummmm.

  1. I’m still waiting, somewhat impatiently, for mine to ripen. There is such potential in all of the green spheres hanging heavy in the garden. . .

What are you making with all of your bounty?

    • We’ve been having lots of BLTs and tomato/mozzerella/basil salads. Also I really liked this chilled cucumber soup (though I was the only one at the table who enjoyed it!). We’ve made Soulemama’s summer salad, and we had some eggplant so I tried moussaka (again, I really liked it — mediocre reviews from the rest of the family). I had big plans for baking with the peaches, but they’re so delicious that we’ve eaten almost all of them already. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water!

  2. ooh yes, we have tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers and zucchini this year. The green beans never make it into the house, well lets just say I think I have only picked a handful and the kids keep a close eye on them.
