right now

When I was young, I preferred a gray gloomy day to a sunny one, simply because gray gloomy days seemed more conducive to curling up with a good book, a glass of milk, and a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich. But right now I love the slanty sunshine streaming through our windows, the way it crawls across the room marking the (too-quick) progress of a day, the way I can tell (approximately) what time it is by looking where that sunshine has landed.
